Auxiliary and pilots contacts

AUXILIARY CONTACTS

Complete control and command of your electrical installations

Combine high and low voltage in the same appliance. The integrated auxiliary contacts enable users to easily control equipment (sensors), and monitor various parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.) or trigger alarms. MARECHAL® appliances incorporate up to 8 auxiliary contacts. The auxiliary contacts are separate from the power contacts.

Supervise your industrial processes

  • Simplifies management, improves operational efficiency and enhances safety

PILOT CONTACTS

The function of pilot contacts is to electrically transmit the command to switch a socket on/off to an upstream switching device. This switching device is controlled by:

  • A microswitch inside the socket (non-through pilot circuit), mechanically activated by the socket-outlet connection; or
  • A contact or pair of contacts on the socket side and plug side (feed-through pilot circuit), closing last and opening first (LIFO: last-in/first-out).

Sequencing of high and low currents

MARECHAL® equipment contacts are installed in an orderly fashion to guarantee optimal operation in complete safety

The sequencing operates as follows: 1 – Earth, 2 – Neutral, 3 – Phases, 4 – Auxiliary or pilot contacts. During disconnection, the contacts open in the reverse order. This design ensures that no arc occurs during connection or disconnection.
