Optimum protection for all MARECHAL® equipment-

For a secure electrical connection

The simple connection of our plug socket-outlets provides immediate tightness without any additional action. Many industrial environments may involve the presence of solids and liquids. It is essential to select and use the right electrical equipment to guarantee personal safety, protect equipment and ensure uninterrupted industrial operations.

Secure all your operations Poorly selected or poor quality equipment can be permeable to a variety of foreign bodies, which can lead to risks to the safety of people and property, as well as operational losses.

Protect your equipment against the ingress of liquids and solids Our equipment is designed to prevent the ingress of water, dust and other solid particles. This ensures that electrical equipment operates safely and reliably, reducing the risk of short circuits, failure and damage.

APPLICABLE STANDARDS

International standards IEC 60529 and NEMA 250 are well-known and recognised tools for selecting the right electrical equipment for a given environment.

  • NEMA 250

“Enclosures for Electrical Equipment” (North American market)

The NEMA 250 (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standard is used primarily in North America to define and classify the tightness of enclosures for electrical equipment against the ingress of solid foreign matter and water.
The NEMA rating also covers resistance to corrosion, mould, impact, vermin, and even powdery snow or ice, as well as use in explosive atmospheres.

  • IEC 60529

“Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Index)”

IEC 60529 is used throughout the rest of the world. Its purpose is to define the degrees of protection provided by electrical equipment enclosures with regard to:

    • Personnel protection against access to hazardous parts inside the enclosure
    • Protection of equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign matter
    • Protection of equipment inside the enclosure against the harmful effects of water ingress

MARECHAL® equipment meets all your requirements in accordance with standards and regulations.

IP PROTECTION INDEX

The Ingress Protection (IP) rating measures a device’s resistance to DUST and WATER.

TIGHTNESS TESTS

A laboratory to test all our equipment

MARECHAL ELECTRIC has a laboratory in France which is approved by the Bureau Veritas LCIE (Laboratoire central des industries électriques en France).
All tightness tests are carried out in this laboratory to ensure that our products are reliable, long-lasting and able to withstand the toughest conditions.

Automatically
sealed devices

Unlike other manufacturers’ devices, DECONTACTOR‘s are sealed as soon as they are connected, with no need to screw on a cover on the socket side and/or turn a sealing ring on the plug side.
Our devices are resistant to chemicals and can withstand the most aggressive cleaning agents. IP66/IP67/IP69 rated, they meet the requirements of frequent washing in production areas. Once the MARECHAL® equipment has been separated, the contacts are inaccessible: IP4X/IPXXD.
Operators are fully protected against the risk of electric shock.

SEALING TECHNOLOGIES FOR INDUSTRY

Providing sealed solutions
for the most demanding industries

Ensuring that electrical equipment is protected from the elements, contamination and hostile environments is vital to the safety of industrial installations.

All our equipment is designed to meet the protection requirements of different industrial sectors.

Mining industry

Dust and humidity are commonplace in mining environments. Sealed equipment is essential for protection against abrasive particles and corrosion.

Naval

Marine environments expose electrical plug socket-outlets to salt corrosion and water spray. Plug socket-outlets must be able to withstand these elements to ensure reliable performance under extreme conditions.

Chemical industry

Marine environments expose electrical plug socket-outlets to salt corrosion and water spray. Plug socket-outlets must be able to withstand these elements to ensure reliable performance under extreme conditions.

Food Industry

In the food industry, electrical equipment is cleaned daily with high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. IP69 equipment is recommended.

Outdoor installation

Plug socket-outlets exposed to the elements must be sealed to prevent the ingress of dust and water. Rugged, glass-fibre reinforced polyamide enclosures provide long-lasting protection against adverse weather conditions.

Water Treatment

Water treatment plants require equipment that can withstand constant moisture and spray.
Waterproof plug socket-outlets resist water ingress and ensure the safety of the installation.
