Section 21 of the IEC 60309-1 standard (plug socket-outlets for industrial purposes) states that equipment must withstand, without excessive wear or other damage, the mechanical, electrical and thermal stresses to which it is subjected during normal use.<\/p>\n

This ‘normal use’ is assessed by the same appliance passing the successive tests in sections 20 (breaking capacity), 21 (normal operation) and 22 (overheating).
\nCompliance is verified by testing each appliance with a new complementary appliance.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n
